Probably one of our calmest youngsters (especially out of our boys!), "Rebel" has really been a dream come true in our crowd of wild-ones of current three year olds. The real reason we have decided to seek out training for him is that he has just been a bit slow to come along under saddle and over fences and really has not done well in the show ring other than in hand. He is a confident horse, with good gaits and he is responsive, but there is just something about him that the judges are just not responding well to. We truly enjoy this guy and there is a chance that if things don't improve with training that we may choose to geld him at the end of 2010, which would just devastate us with his top-notch breeding!

First Observation Notes:
I'm a great big fan of this colt's sire! He feels a lot like my A Fine Romance hunter mare; steady and quiet. I think what this boy needs is some excitement! Canter warm-ups at a good clip before jumping will probably help. He may also just be bored. My two coming four year old mares despise baby jumps, and don't put a lot of effort or "fire" into what they're doing.
